Short Bio

In 2007 I got a Master Degree in Computer Engineering at Università degli Studi di Bergamo (Bergamo, Italy).

From 2008 to 2011, I moved to the Department of Electronics and Information Technology of Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy). There, in 2011 I got a PhD in Information Technology under the supervision of prof. Sergio Savaresi. My major research interests were Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). ITS make use of information and communication technologies to improve transport outcomes. During my doctorate I investigated how the interactions between vehicles and drivers, other vehicles and the infrastructure influence the transport safety and the environmental impact. The Computer Security was also a topic of interest.

From 2008 to 2010, I was visiting researcher at SENSEable City Lab of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, USA) and at SAP Labs France (Sophia-Antipolis, France).

From November 2014 to November 2017 I have been the President of the Information Engineering Committee of the Orders of Engineers of the Province of Bergamo, Italy.

Currently, I am Data Science Director at Tenaris. In my free time I organize semianars and courses on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data technologies.

I am author and co-author of patents and scientific pubblications published in international journals and conferences. I live and work in the Milan Area, Italy.
